Hospital priorities
On average, Texas Children's provides $80 million annually in community outreach, charity patient care and financial assistance to children whose families are unable to pay for their child's medical costs. From patient transport (Kangaroo Crew Transport Service) to inpatient care to emergency room care to free patient care provided in community facilities, our charity care and medical outreach efforts are without equal in the Houston area.
Local outreach efforts include
Project Medical Home neighborhood practices and our mobile pediatric clinics, SuperKids and the Ronald McDonald Mobile Clinic.
Texas Children's also responds to global needs—from fighting pediatric AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa to launching
medical missions to disaster areas, we are helping build a healthier future for children and families across the world.
