Texas Children's Pediatric Lung Transplant Program is among the largest pediatric lung transplantation programs in the country. With a median wait time of less than 60 days, it offers the shortest wait time of any pediatric program. Texas Children's highly experienced, multidisciplinary team has transplanted lungs in children from all areas of the United States and around the world.

Insurance information
If Texas Children's is not listed on a prospective patient's insurance, a Texas Children's financial counselor will work with the insurance company on behalf of the patient and family. In many cases, we have been successful in having the program added as an approved provider.

Director	George Mallory, M.D. Mallory joined Texas Children's and Baylor College of Medicine in 2001. Prior to his position at Texas Children's, Mallory was the founding transplant pulmonologist in the St. Louis Children’s Hospital lung transplant program in 1990.
