Children's Miracle Network
Monday, July 3, 2006 – The All-Star
Miracle Home is living up to its billing by adding more sports
celebrities to the action with commitments from Houston Rockets Chuck
Hayes, Luther Head and Tracy McGrady to design rooms within the home.
The All-Star Miracle Home is a
community fund-raiser where a 4,100-square-feet fully furnished and
landscaped Meritage home valued at $500,000 will be raffled off to
one lucky winner.
The program aims to raise $2 million
for Texas Children’s Hospital, the only Children’s Miracle Network
hospital in the greater Houston area, and the Houston Rockets’
Clutch City Foundation. Hospital employees may purchase entries for
only $100 each. Only 20,000 entries will be sold.
Many exciting events will take place
this summer at the All-Star Miracle Home, located in Sienna
Plantation at 10506 Shipman’s Landing in Missouri City.
Starting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, July
11, all the accessories and furniture will be moved into the home.
“Great Day Houston” will broadcast the move live on KHOU Channel 11.
Plan to bring the whole family to the
home for clowns, face painting, balloons and food on Saturday, Aug.
5, for the official grand opening of the home. The Sunny 99.1 FM van
will be there from 10 a.m. to noon, but the event will continue all
day.
Once the home is completed, RE/MAX of
Texas will host tours of the home, which will be open every day from
noon to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
