CHILDREN'S LIVER CENTER
Texas Children's Liver Center's support
group is a great way to meet other parents who have children with
liver disease. We provide mutual support and share resources related
to raising children who are especially special.
You can get to know parents whose children have the same condition
as yours, live in the same part of town, or have a child the
same age. Parents network through phone, e-mail and monthly
meetings. These meetings provide a forum to solve problems, complain
and laugh with other people who "get it." Activities are open to
families regardless of where their child is treated.
Occasional guest speakers cover topics such as developments in
research, helping your child through the school system and
maintaining normal family life. English-Spanish translators attend
each meeting.
