Diagnosed at birth
Duvell has received care from the Texas Children’s
Heart Center staff since birth. A veteran of five surgeries at Texas Children’s, Duvell has spent a large part of his young life in Texas Children’s inpatient cardiology unit.
“The nurses were so friendly and really made me feel comfortable,”
his grandmother Bobbie said when recalling those times at Texas Children’s. “They took good care of Duvell and provided him with whatever he needed. I don’t think I would have made it without them.”
Duvell thrives on the nurses’ attention and gets along well with them — which also makes his grandmother very happy. “I love them all, and they do a great job,” she said.
